@timxtravel: Moray, Sacred Valley, Perú 🌱👽🇵🇪 This place is super interesting and an unknown mystery. It is Inca ruins that look like crop circles. The leading theory is that it is an ancient open-air agricultural laboratory, or essentially, the Greenhouse of the Inca. It sits at 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) in altitude and is absolutely massive! The scale is difficult to gauge from this video but it is 182 meters (600 feet) wide and 30 meters (98 feet) deep at its largest point and is 36 hectares. It is in the Peruvian Andes and is known for its concentric agricultural terraces, which created different microclimates for crop experimentation. The temperature difference between the top and bottom of the largest depression is up to 15 Celsius (27 degrees Fahrenheit), allowing the Inca to test how crops (such as potatoes, corn, and quinoa) 🥔🌽🌱 would grow in various conditions by using different soil types imported from across their empire. Other theories suggest it was a ceremonial site. Its unusual features have led to some wild speculative ideas about extraterrestrial origins. Although the leading theory of being an ancient Inca greenhouse, its exact purpose is still unknown and a mystery #moray #morayperu #sacredvalley #inca #perú🇵🇪
