I tried this…. My dog fell backward crying. Limped for a full day. I took him for a n X-ray (which they had to sedate him for). $350 later. He’s dramatic.

Interesting. Our trainer taught us to simply ignore our dog/turn our back to him if he tried to jump up for our attention. And if he came up to us without jumping, we could pet him and engage. It worked!

I learned this at a very early age growing up with Rottweilers and pitbulls. Dogs are incredibly smart when you use their language 🥰

dogs learn VERY quickly. it won't take but a few weeks of consistency for this dog to be so well behaved that it'll seem like a brand new dog
