My pinpad will beep and make them reinsert their card if they put it in too early and the amount of people who get mad cause it beeped. You think it went through in point 5 seconds? No. It didn't do shit other than error out. Put it back!

Or when they leave the card in after it’s already taken payment and it’s just sitting there beeping for them to remove their card….and they just stare at you like they don’t know what to do next. These machines have been around for a few years now, how do we not know how to use it

I work in the airport, and had a lady hit the Red X to confirm her amount, and was confused when it canceled the transaction. Looked at me and said “i thought the red x meant okay” I’m so done with these people oriented jobs 😭

Every day I experience this at work too many times to count. Our pin pads say "Please Wait" on them as it reads the card but folks will lift it up before it finishes and then complain when it fails.
