I've always called it a rebirth after my Mom died. A whole new person was born the moment She passed. A new me was created, a version She will literally never know. So why not just live how I want and do whatever makes me feel okay? Others don't get it and I'm glad they don't.

While it’s the most pain I’ve ever felt, there is beauty in being there for their last breath knowing they were there for your first and all those in between and I am so lucky to have that moment in time.

Same girl, same. It’s almost 4 yrs since I lost my mom. A lot of those feelings I thought were part of perimenopause, but now that I think about it, it’s the grief experience with a little peri mixed in.
