He’s been my idol since I was 14 — not just for his incredible acting, but for his heart, his compassion, and his activism. River wasn’t just a Hollywood star; he was a passionate environmentalist, animal rights advocate, and musician. He’s the reason I became (and stayed) vegetarian 🌿 Today, I revisited some of the places that were part of his story: 📍 The Viper Room (images 1 & 2) – The club on Sunset Boulevard where River collapsed in the early hours of Halloween 1993. He had gone there to play music with friends, but tragically, that night ended in heartbreak for the world. 🍕 Leonardo’s Pizza, North Hollywood (image 3) – River’s favorite restaurant. He used to go there on weekends with his sister Rain Phoenix. Simple nights, good food, and family — that’s the River people close to him remember. 🌺 His Memorial Garden at Arcadia Methodist Hospital (image 4) – His longtime manager, Iris Burton, later gifted a small memorial garden there in his memory — a peaceful place where fans can come to remember him. 32 years later, his spirit still inspires so many — through his films, his music, and his kindness.
