it doesn't fix the problem as it relies on the current holes which have been messed up to hold the thing in place, save your self money and move the hinges slightly forward and screw. job done

Repair plates are fine for minor wear, but when hinge holes are stripped the surrounding material has already failed. Moving the hinge slightly gives new screw purchase and lasts longer. Quick fix vs proper fix — different goals. Class dismissed
