I don’t think it’s another person’s responsibility to heal someone’s narcissistic traits. The first step in healing is to be aware that you have these traits and second get a therapist who specializes in this field. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t realize they have these traits.

Dosent making someone feel special and cared for in and of itself tend to bring on narcissistic traits! It does diminish the narcissist from “getting someone back” as long as they feel in control
