dy/dx = y
1/y dy = dx
lny = x+C
y = e^(x+C)
y = Ce^x

Isn’t 0 an answer too? The derivative of 0 is 0

Wouldnt Ae^(x + K) also work where K is any constant?

Richard Chiles :
also d¹⁰⁰y/dx¹⁰⁰ = e^x
The Taylor series expansion of e^x is ∑(x^n / n!) from n=0 to ∞, So each differentiation just 'shifts down' each term and removes the first.

ok hot take Leibniz notation should be illegal in diffeq bc imo $f’ = f$ i think is so much clearer especially for new students…

Ce^x is the only function differentiating it gives itself. Maths is such a slut.

this isn’t precise enough because it shouldn’t ne dy/dx. because dy/dx if theres a + C is not e^x + C which is y, it's e^x

use I.F. and solve. y(e^-x) + c or y = Ce^x
