fall brunch 🍁 #ad One of my favorite Scandinavian foods are open-faced sandwiches called smorrebrod. Since I’m partnering with @IKEA USA I thought it was the perfect opportunity to highlight so many of their new fall and holiday kitchen and home products. After all fall is my favorite season and I don’t want to miss an opportunity to take advantage of the cozy vibes. So many of the products featured in this video are from IKEA, including the basket, the bar cart and everything on it, the utensils, and the orange mugs. Even the dried flowers and paper pumpkins are IKEA. If you’re interested in making the sandwiches the rough recipes are below: squash, harissa, egg toasts 1. Peel 2 honey nut squashes. Split them in half and scoop out the seed. Slice them 1/4” thick and shingle about 8 slices into a square on a baking sheet. Repeat that a few more times for 4 to 5 squares. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper, and spices you like. Roast at 450F for about 20 minutes, until browned and tender. 2. On toasts of your choice, smear a layer of apple butter or fig jam. Then carefully place a squash square on top of each toast using a spatula. Fry eggs in olive oil and add a little harissa to the pan for color and flavor. Top the toasts with the eggs. dill cream cheese & smoked salmon toasts 1. In a food processor, whip 2 blocks of cream cheese with 1/4 cup whipped cream, 1/2 cup chopped dill, and pepper until whipped and combined. 2. Smear 1-2 tbsp of the cream cheese onto toasts of your choice. Top with smoked salmon and cucumber slices.
