That is so true, Allahou akbar ! People tend often to focus on the material aspect of it, whereas sometimes you can feel deep inside your heart that sometimes isn’t working, those little signs that your lord isn’t proud of your actions. Sometimes you engage in prayer to catch up yet you feel that sense of emptiness in your heart, and there you know that your prayer hasn’t been accepted by your lord. May, he, the most forgiving, make of us better Muslims, steadfast to their promises made to their lord. Amin !

I don't understand do we worship Allah for ourselves? Our own benefit? If that is not the case and it is for something higher than self-benefit then why are the reminders often about what we get of benefit or what we protect ourselves from of harm?
