You’re doing great. Little by little! Im very similar, my parents didn’t speak Greek to us as children because they didn’t want us to have an accent…😩… started relearning a year or so ago…it’s sooooo hard…

Let’s do Greek class?! Both of my parents are from Greece, they spoke Greek in the house but I responded English. Since I’ve moved to Los Angeles (10 years) I’ve gotten worse. lol I’m the youngest of 5 so all my siblings spoke English in my defense 😂

You’re doing great!! I’m in the same boat, my parents taught me and my sister the basics but didn’t really push trying to speak it at home 24/7 because my mom was bullied at school for not knowing English. I also only went to Greek school for 2 years when i was younger 🫠Trying to learn now is difficult but we can do it!! Maybe try to check out Pimsleur, that is the only program that actually helped me start feeling confident in speaking it (i was in the same boat with understanding everything, just couldnt speak)
