A dressmaker term I learned on TikTok that I actually looked up to confirm is toile. Not the fabric with the pastoral scene-believe me I know and love that. I had never heard of it as a mock—up of a garment.

I discovered capsule wardrobes, (and not on TikTok), when I was packing for a 2 week trip overseas - I think it was through Pinterest where I first saw it. It definitely came in handy.

The creator that talks about 3 piece rule is adorable. She used to work RL retail a d thry had to wear 3 pieces always. Sounds like one of your dresses wouldn't fly alone on an employee in a store. Anyway, seems very relevant because it is a way to get at "styling" an outfit vs just wearing a piece. Designers and stylists...different animals. Darn though, wish you knew and could verify the 3 piece RL rule in retail. ❤

The bear is a classic illustration w RL including their textiles. Capsule wardrobe was penned (imo) on Pinterest in early 2000s. I could be wrong. Capsule means yes classic pieces that could be interchangeably worn like the blazer, the ked, the denim, the t shirt.
