If your parents have money and they’re aging out, you HAVE TO get ahold of their finances. It’s not something you can put off. Get a power of attorney or at least a bank account that you have access too and your name is on aswell.

yes! there was a girl on tick tock maybe 2 months ago. whose dad had this same thing happen! there were no gold bars, but they had the guy transfer everything to another account

i work for a gold dealer and he immediately stops anyone from doing this. wish more companies were as honest. i havent myself seen it but i have heard it mentioned.

Banker here. It happens ALL the time. Never seen the gold bar scam, but it seems as they are moving on from crypto because of the negative stigma. I’ve seen 200k sent to scammers. So sad.
