@swimsuccess: It’s not always about fitness. Most of the time, it’s small technical habits that drain your energy faster than you realize. 1️⃣ Breathing If your breathing is off, everything else falls apart. 🔥 he key is how often you breathe. For longer distances, breathe every two strokes. That rhythm gives your muscles more oxygen and prevents early fatigue. 2️⃣ Overkicking Swimming is an arms-dominant sport. When you kick too much, your legs burn oxygen fast and your heart rate spikes. 💡 Think of it as 80 percent arms and 20 percent legs. Let your kick support your rhythm instead of driving it. 3️⃣ Recovery phase Swimming is all about balance between effort and relaxation. Under the water, your arm works. Above the water, it should recover. ⚙️ Lift your arm with your shoulder and let your hand and forearm stay relaxed in the air. That short moment of rest keeps your arms fresh for the next pull. 4️⃣ No glide If you skip the glide and go straight from entry to catch, your arms never rest. You might swim a bit faster at first, but you’ll burn out quickly. 🌊 Pause for a brief moment after each entry, let your body slide forward, and reset your rhythm before the next stroke. 🔥 Fix these four and you’ll notice the difference immediately. You’ll swim longer, feel smoother, and finish every session with energy left. 💪 And if you want to learn more about swimming from a World Championship finalist, don’t forget to follow.
