Why do some bad people seem to live better lives, while good people so often get hurt? When you see people who do wrong prospering while you are the one suffering, it is natural to feel that life is unfair. But feeling this way does not mean that you have no faith. And you do not need to blame yourself for having these emotions. Even Asaph in Psalm 73 went through the same struggle. When he saw the wicked prospering while he was suffering, he said: “Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.” Psalm 73:13, KJV Asaph did not pretend that everything was fine. He told God honestly what was really in his heart. But now, I want to tell you a truth that is rarely explained clearly in many churches. Not everything the wicked have is necessarily a blessing from God. Sometimes, a person may have money, success and good health, and everything in life may seem to be going well, but that does not mean God is pleased with them. And it certainly does not mean they are walking on the right path. Because there is a very frightening condition: a person keeps drifting further away from God, yet no longer feels any warning, no discipline, no restraint, and simply continues living however they want. What is truly frightening is not always going through hardship. Sometimes, what is even more frightening is when a person’s heart moves further and further away from God, yet they still feel as though they have lost nothing. So, if God is still using circumstances to remind you today, still disciplining you, still shaping your life, and even allowing certain things to make you stop and return to Him, that does not mean God has given up on you. Quite the opposite. It may mean that He is still working in your life. So today, you can pray like this: “God, thank You for not giving up on me even now.” As long as God is still shaping you, still reminding you, and still drawing your heart back to Him, do not let someone else’s outward success make you doubt whether God loves you. If this is also your prayer, write: “God, thank You for still not giving up on me.” And please share this video with someone who is going through the same struggle.
