I repeatedly warn people about this. My surgeon responded when I tearfully asked him why they were still so big because I thought we agreed to go to a C… that he had decided to leave some for my husband.

Study show that you should really always have a female surgeon. They have better outcomes for male patients too, but the outcomes are dramatically better for women when they have women surgeons for anything.

There’s really no reason for a woman to ever see a male doctor unless there is no other option under your insurance, in your area.

I initially had a male surgeon who refused to do my surgery because he didn't want me "to look flat like a boy". I got a female surgeon (who i adored) and she took out a kilo from each breast. and guess what? I still have an hourglass figure

It' I'm having a reduction and my doctor was a man. He told me that he'll reduce to complement my body frame. I rescheduled bc something made me feel like he wouldn't take out enough. Thanx for the confirmation that my intuition was right.

Mine was a male surgeon but he specialized in top surgery for trans patients so I felt confident he wouldn’t be weird about whatever size I wanted (and he wasn’t) 🙏

My plastic surgeon is male & requests a full lady-team during certain procedures. I asked him why & he said, DIRECT QUOTE, “Women know how other women want to look & they are very honest. The men are too afraid of bruising my ego so they won’t speak up.” He’s operated on me twice & I’ll never seek out plastic/corrective surgery from anyone else. Everyone in the room with him was a woman—including the anesthesiologist.

Definitely uncommon but I love my male surgeon. Not trans but one of his specialities was gender affirming care so I think that played a part into how he approached the surgery.

Had a male obgyn tell me last year a hysterectomy was the same thing as cutting off my arm and then stomp his feet and storm out the room. The 3 female obgyns and surgeons I have had this last year didn’t question me for one millisecond. Based on stuff I found few months after I saw him, he 1000% had a breeding kink. I am so specific with my medical team. There is only 1 person on my entire medical team who is male and he is one of hr best providers I have had. My surgeons regardless of procedure will always be female though.

i had a reduction by a female surgeon who got me as small as possible bc she knew is was what i wanted. then my follow up after surgery was with a male surgeon at the same place and he basically just felt me up for five mins complimenting her work i was so uncomfortable

There was a lady on here in full-blown tears because she had a reduction and medically necessary reduction and he still left her with too much.

From the sounds of these comments, get things in writing. When you get out of surgery, if it’s not what was in writing, sue!! Don’t just accept what the surgeon decided for you. Sue them!!

Male surgeon for mine, I was surprised mine were as big as they were after. I could fit into clothes better but in no way did I need to be a D cup.

Yep. I had consultation with male surgeon and told him I wanted to be a C cup from F cup he kept convincing me it was too small.. I found a female surgeon and she did them just how I wanted :)

THIS HAPPENED TO ME!!!! When I complained after the surgery about the size he implied that I had gender issues, asked me if I wanted to transition etc and told me to see a psychiatrist he gaslit me so bad I was like 17

My female surgeon didn’t go as small as I asked either. She missed the insurance by less than 15g. I’d still never go male surgeon, but whatever you do, get it in writing!!

I had a double mastectomy with no reconstruction and while he was marking me up I asked if he could take a mole while he was there and he replied "oh I planned on taking that anyway" 🙃 it's been 3 years and I still think about how I wasn't a person to him, just clay to mold how he saw fit.
