Only two prototypes were made, both based on modified Koenigsegg CCX chassis, and they laid the foundation for the later production models such as the Agera, Agera R, and Agera RS. The Agera Prototype was powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, developed entirely in-house by Koenigsegg. This engine produced around 910 horsepower (hp) at 6,850 rpm and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque at 5,100 rpm. With this immense power, the car was capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) in about 3.1 seconds, and it could theoretically reach a top speed of over 390 km/h (242 mph) — though later versions easily surpassed this figure. One of the most impressive aspects of the Agera Prototype was its lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis. The total weight of the car was around 1,290 kilograms (2,844 lbs), giving it an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio. The aerodynamic design included Koenigsegg’s signature removable hardtop and active rear wing, combining functionality with elegance. Inside, the prototype featured a minimal yet futuristic cockpit, emphasizing both luxury and performance.
