Thing about AI is that you can’t copyright it. You do not own what you create with AI and I think that’s a great seller for clients. People love to own stuff.

I think good design will prevail, it always has. The people who use AI for their logos are the same people who used clip art and Comic Sans in the 90s.

Our designer jobs are kinda over. Clients write words into a machine and are happy with whatever they see. They don’t appreciate design, they’re only like „I saved money and time“ so what’s left for us, the creators, the experts? Should we go with the flow or bury ourselves and our careers. Does it matter anyway? What’s left of the art if we extract the soul? Just a deep, black hole.

So true CJ. I'm a designer for 29 years. I fear AI. Even in web design. I fear my career will come to an end in about 10 years or less with all these AI. Even Canva is a scary tool, and yes everything looks the same.

I feel like all AI designs are looking the same and you can just tell they lack soul. Even emails or alerts I get you can just tell it’s AI and I just feel less connected on a human level than ever before.

If you are right, CJ. I will barely be a junior designer within a year of finishing my career and seeing all these tools that look good, but deep down they create only soulless and boring design, something that anyone can do instead of what they do.

AI is scaring me so much because I’m still in school. I graduate May 2027 with my digital design degree and I want to focus on websites but still make cool things like logos and branding but I’m so terrified that AI will take it over and it’ll end before I have the chance to really start. I just keep hoping people will realize the creativity that we humans have that AI doesn’t 😭
