Contact lenses shouldn’t really hurt. If they do, it usually means something is wrong. They can sting or feel scratchy if there’s dust, hair, or makeup on the lens, the lens is inside-out, the lens has a small tear, the lens is dirty or hasn’t been cleaned properly. Most of the time, it feels like there’s something in your eye when the lens is irritated. If you feel pain, burning, redness, or constant discomfort, don’t force it — take the lens out. If the irritation continues, throw the lens away and use a new one. It’s better to lose a lens than to damage your eye.

READ THE LABELS there are types of contact solution that will burn if you put it directly into your eye

I guess some people are sensitive to the saline solution they are packaged in. cleaning them with contact cleaner helps first.

Make sure to rinse your hands thoroughly before trying to remove the contacts. It's a mistake you will only make once. soap stings

real contacts are perscription and set to the contour of your eyes.....most color contacts are "one size fits all" as in fits noone..its like a kernel in your teeth

so the solution in contact packaging hurts my eyes so always clean with contact rinse solution before you put them in.
