People need to stop posting their kids on the internet, period. The amount of saves on family vlog pages just proves why.

It makes me uncomfortable because I know there's people out there who sexualize it, not because I do.

I understand the point, but unfortunately, there are people out there who don’t see kids innocently. As parents, it’s our job to protect our children, because we can’t control how others think or what their intentions might be. It’s not about thinking kids are “provocative” it’s about keeping them safe, especially with how common child-related crimes and exposures have become. You never really know who might be around or what their mindset is.

Nothing about a child's stomach is inappropriate to me but as a mother I would never let my children walk around with their mid section out and in costume especially, let alone post it on social media. Paedophiles exist and they froth that so to me it's really not worth it. Do you know who the 88 saves are on that video?

If you are going door to door to strangers homes, you never know what audience you’ll have. I as a parent would never let my little kid dress like that to get candy from strangers. It’s the unknown that’s scary.

In this lifetime we have to accept predators exist - they always have and always will. We cannot eliminate evil but we can do our best to protect children from it. So yes, in a dream world little girls could wear these costumes without being sexualised, but that world does not exist. So when women feel uncomfortable seeing little girls bodies exposed we are being protective.

i work in child safety. children should not be on the internet, you see it in real life and it makes you uncomfortable, you’re a weirdo. you see it online? you’re allowed to call out how dangerous it is. but this is ALL children, not just pick and choose

Yeah no a child should not be wearing a crop top there are way too many weirdos out there to not be extra cautious.

because there are creeps who save those kinds of photos to their playlist for future 'enjoyment.' A lot of the viewers who look at family vloggers content are men.

is a kid in a crop top an issue for me? No. The issue is me being worried for their safety with so many weirdos who watch them on videos posted online by their parents. I'd hate for my child's video to be saved in someone's file like that.

A child’s stomach doesn’t make ME uncomfortable - what makes me uncomfortable is the presence of predators who DO sexualise and enjoy it. It is a caregivers job to protect their child from harm and exploitation. Dressing children in clothes that are more appropriate is protective decision 🤷🏻♀

It makes people uncomfortable because we know there are sick people out there. Protect your children it’s not that hard!

My daughter wore this costume but she wore leggings and a long sleeve black top underneath so no skin was on show

My daughter went as rumi, I put a long sleeve top under the cropped top it’s not that hard to cover up your children I don’t think it’s right putting any child under the age of 16 in a cropped top there are sick people

I don’t disagree with your statement entirely but I don’t feel that “k-pop demon hunters” is something that should be a topic for children . When were “demons” in kids shows? That’s something from adult horror films man.

if im saying something im not saying it to be weird I was a victim myself and I try my best to speak up knowing most kids wont and then its always blamed on what they were wearing not why the perp thought it was ok. I get bashed for it but as a victim and knowing most dont and cant get help and get silenced I will say something. cuz as kids we wish it was safe to wear a simple costume but not everyone has our safety best at heart some barely even have the idea of our innocence in mind as a good way. some take it as a good thing we're innocent and easy to take advantage of.
