Actually this is true, from my experience with One from TPOT. I seem have to have a heavy heart while watching her and stuff, I usually also get jealous of other people who are also a fictionkin of her but it hasn't worsen. Wish me luck 😿.

YES!!! like fictionkinning isnt inherently unhealthy but i absolutely had a negative experience with kinning. i didnt have psychosis or anything like it, but i used kinning as a way to pretend i was somebody else because of how much i hated who i actually was, it was sort of a coping mechanism but it absolutely wasnt a good one and im still dealing with identity confusion a few years later. kinning can absolutely be a negative thing and kin spaces never really acknowledge that

as a fictionkin, i agree! it 100% can tank your mental health and it has done exactly that to me multiple times. it definitely stems from my mental issues along with my autism. it may be my way of coping, but like any coping mechanism, it can negatively impact me. what worries me, though, is in fictionkin spaces, they feed into each others beliefs to the point they cannot differentiate themselves (reality) from the characters (fiction). THATS when it becomes genuine delusion and i have to actively avoid them despite me wanting to connect to the community as there is no differentiating, just affirming
