Context: Spinning the fans excessively may cause a current that can cause damage to the PC. Most modern motherboards account for this with OCP protection. Even if it’s an older board you’d really have to go ham on the fan for it to be an issue. So basically it’s not really a problem, but if all you need to do to avoid it is stick a finger between the blades then why not?

I use a powerful air compressor for my pc. Spinning the fans at high rpm hasn’t done anything to mine. 🤷🏼‍♂️
