Episode 1 - Who Told You your worth is in your wallet? Let me say this clearly before you watch: I am ALL for women making money. I want women to have agency, build wealth, and be able to make decisions about their lives. And yeah men should make money too.🙃 But I think we need to ask ourselves why we want the money. If the ONLY reason you want to earn is so you can stand head-to-head with a man, so you can have a “voice” in your marriage, or so you never have to depend on anyone (valid buttt), I think we need to pause and ask some questions. And this applies to men too. If the only reason you want to make money is to prove you’re worthy of a woman, we’re dealing with the same problem. I understand why we think this way. We’ve seen financial dependence weaponised. We know society treats people differently based on what they have. But when did money become the thing that proves our worth? I want women to be financially empowered. I just don’t want us to build our entire sense of worth around what we earn. And I don’t think men should have to do that either. Because when your worth is tied to your wallet, you will always be one bad season away from feeling worthless.
