Seesawing is also way more aggressive, you can usually see the horses head moving allng with tve movement.

The ‘trainers’ which are actually just haters are wild on equestrian videos, sometimes their correct but a lot of the time they are not.

There are different versions of seesawing one of them is yanking very very hard to normally to stop a horse and doing the movement you showed as an example of seesawing movement😭

ive been wondering how do you get your horse in a real contact? bc i was taught to give small squeezes alternating brtween left and right but i feel ppl call this seesawing too

Love this! 🩷 Ngl I started watching expecting to hear you making excuses for actually riding into a false frame like so many I see… but you are completely right and I love your explanation! You ride with lovely hands! 🙌🏼

I thinks some people mistake see-sawing with gaining attention with the horse also early

People genuinely throw that word around SO MUCH, I had a bunch of them come at me and unsurprisingly, they were all tweenage riding school kiddies.

I do the same with my horse when riding too, inside rein and inside leg. He falls out in the shoulder if I don’t. He’s currently learning contact too.. if these tiktok trainers saw my horse ducking behind the vertical because he’s only learning.. they’d go apeshit. (Obviously I don’t want my horse behind the vertical, I always release pressure when I see he’s behind)

Omg wow I love how good you explain everything this is verry informative! Can you maybe make a video where we see a video of you riding and where you explain what you’re doing? If you understand what I mean haha

Tamsin de la Harpe :
A lot of damage was done with "hands still" school of riding. Many riders, including myself, learned to lock our elbows and shoulders to keep the hands frozen in place instead of moving with mouth. its a very hard habit to break once you have it.
