It’s strange how easy it is to lie to yourself. You tell people you’re fine, that you’re working on yourself, that you just need time but deep down you know you’re stuck. I had everything “together” on paper job, training, plans but none of it felt real anymore. I’d scroll through motivational videos at 2am, watch Goggins yell about discipline, and tell myself tomorrow I’ll start. But I never did. Then one night I came across From Fog to Focus by Maven Kade. There’s a line that still messes with me: “As you read this, your future self is either cursing you or thanking you. Choose thanks.” I don’t know why, but that hit harder than anything else. It made me think about how many times I said I’d change and never meant it. That book didn’t “fix” me it made me stop pretending I was okay when I wasn’t. And once you stop pretending, everything starts to shift. Not fast, not easy but real. If you’re reading this, stop waiting for motivation. Start with honesty. That’s where it actually begins
