My daughter had her last appointment with her consultant who she had since I was pregnant n yeh it was hard for us now she’s an adult nw we dnt go to paediatrics anymore

Bedside manner with little people is so important! My little girls ENT consultant was so amazing with her for her surgery that she’s determined now to have a career in medicine 🥰

I mean this from the bottom of my heart you are amazing 💪💚 I spent a long time of my childhood in Alderhey they saved my ability to walk I have spina biffida I am now nearly 30 still struggling but if it wasn’t for the amazing staff at Alderhey I wouldn’t of been able to achieve half of what I have there’s real angels that life alongside us and work in that fantastic hospital

I have the most respect for plastic surgeons I’ve had the pleasure of having 3 amazing plastic surgeons since my burns from a house fire in 1991 Mr robb ratcliffe, mr quaba and now Ken stuart ☺️they all hold a special place in my heart.

I know I’m not ment to do this I’m not a child but I’ve just got out of hospital after 7.5 weeks of being in there, I must say I had my FAVOURITE nurses/doc(same surgeon threw out) and I’m NGL but I was worried when some night staff was on bcoz of how they treated me….🫠

I am now 31, I practically lived inside Birmingham children’s hospital for 6 years.. I had an amazing picu doctor.. when I returned last year with one of my twin boys we recognised each other immediately, was amazing to see him so many years later, he was as awesome as I remember him.. you guys have such a huge impact upon you children in your care 🥰
