@baseballdugout: Things would’ve ended differently if Isiah Kiner-Falefa had a bigger lead off third base 😬 #WorldSeries #bluejays #sports #baseball #dodgers

3rd base coach was worried about him getting doubled up. Making decisions out of fear never works out.

I wonder if seeing his teammate get doubled off the night before to end the game was in the back of his mind?

I mean. Can’t blame the loss on IKF. But man, that secondary off of third was unacceptable...

I might be wrong but shouldn't he also have slid head first? that's usually a bit faster

Even with the small Lead, if he had taken an average secondary lead he is safe. He took no secondary and kinda froze off the bat. Terrible

Does the third base coach not offer any advice in that situation?

100% on point. What was 3rd base coach telling him?

Point blank it was horrible base running and 3rd base coaching. Then you must slide head first and stretch your arm out as far and as you can. He didn’t even look like he was fully hustling.

Also, why slide? We know it slows you down! Run through that damn plate like its a sprint to first!

Tons of base running mistakes cost the blue jays all series long.

Has IKF explained why he didn't take a secondary lead?

If the ball was lined off, that’s a double play if he leads too far. If its a sac fly, he needs to go back to tag before rushing home. That’s why he needs to see the ball travel before he decides what to do. Unfotunate out but he didn’t do anything wrong

Do you think if he runs straight through like you do at 1b he’s safe. Sliding slows you down. Totally agree about the lead though

If he was 15 feet off like you suggest, and it’s a line drive to any infielder, he’s easily doubled off!

Ad The unexpected RED theory… I’ve painted this hallway THREE times and I’ve never quite got it right… so this time I decided to stop fighting the fact it’s a small, dark space and lean into it instead 😂 So I tried the unexpected red theory. The idea behind it is that adding a red tone somewhere you wouldn’t necessarily expect it can make a space feel more considered and pulled together. It doesn’t have to be bright red either, deeper shades like burgundy, oxblood and rust can give the same effect while still feeling warm and full of depth. So rather than trying to make this hallway feel lighter for the fourth time, I went DARKER. I’ve never used @claybrookstudio paint before, but their colour range is absolutely gorgeous so I had to test it out. I went for the colour Oxblood. The pigmentation is SO deep and rich and the colour changes beautifully depending on the light. It’s made the hallway feel so much more intentional and has given the whole space a warmth and depth it was missing before. I used their flat matt emulsion and I’m honestly so impressed with the finish. I also went bold but classic with the tiles they are also from Claybrook they are the Kromatic range the light tiles: Canvas and dark tiles: Eclipse. They have that slightly imperfect, handcrafted look with subtle texture and irregular edges, which I LOVE because they add so much character without competing with everything else going on in the space. I think this might finally be the version of this hallway that sticks I just need to add the wallpaper so come back tomorrow for the full reveal! So… does the unexpected red theory work? I think it does ❤️ All links in my bio! Love Abbey x #hallwaymakeover #unexpectedredtheory #hallwaymakeover #paintcolourinspo #hallwayinspo
