Most neighbourhood watches/councils give stickers in the post for vulnerable/elderly to show they don’t want to partake in Halloween/trick or treating - there will ALWAYS be someone upset about something, what exactly is their comment teaching the younger generation on tik tok that if you don’t have anything nice to say, still publicly say it?🤣

I was always taught and then have taught my son that we only knock on houses that are decorated as we know for sure those are the people that celebrate Halloween. It's hardly rocket science 😂

My mum made the effort to do little treat bags. Not 1 child knocked as she forgot to put her pumpkins out 🤦🏻♀️it’s an unwritten rule. No decks or pumpkins out don’t knock. People need to get a grip 😏

I live near alot of elderly people who don’t decorate but buy sweets because they want to see all the kids dressed up some have signs to knock for a sweet🥰

We dec’d ours up this year as haven’t had many trick treaters before and wow we went through over 150 bags of sweets and tubs of chocs haha loved it . We loved it as kids so nice to do it back for them

I spent 50 pound on sweets, an hour making sweet bags and no one come, I bet it’s due to no decoration but I’ve just broke my back so first year ever I didn’t have lit up pumpkins outside an decs up, I was gutted as I’d gone to the effert of getting them so ur so right ppl are gutted who do enjoy it if people don’t turn up, next year I’ll be healed and the decorations will be up xx

I think it's lovely you go with your children children don't come to the elderly in my village but I love seeing them dressed up my village dress the village up and children go round with paperwork to find them all
