@thewetbelttech: 🛢️ Why we recommend Castrol oil. It’s the oil that consistently performs best in the engines we specialise in. Wet belt systems rely on clean, stable lubrication, and Castrol protects against the belt wear, sludge build-up and contamination that cause the biggest failures we see. We choose what works. We choose what lasts. #wetbelt #carsontiktok #ford #cargarage #castrol
Can it just be regular Castrol or does it have to be branded with ford ?

It’s got nothing to do with the oil company brand, it’s the spec of the oil and many companies will supply it !

Ford should emphasise this is a must and make it clear that it is this specific oil that needs be used only. How hard can it be to write this clearly in the handbook or a label near the oil filler cap. To be fair, some people will use the cheapest oil to save money.

U need to be careful with the oil weight the small letter after it needs to match with the manufacturer it’s a loophole they try to use to catch u out psa for example will tell u the weight then small writing beside it c2 if its not that warranty etc is void
