Legit the pie looked beautiful. Apple type is a huge variation in apple pie output due to how they respond to baking. Typically more acidic/tart apples due better with more pectin to hold it all together

it looks lovely! I'm a big fan of pecan pie, but I've been making it with golden syrup instead of corn syrup, I like it cause it's less sweet than corn syrup. 😁

If you use two types of apples like Granny Smith and then a type that falls apart you get the best of both without slippage.

Looks amazing. I don’t know if there is a pie I don’t love! Cherry, blueberry & rhubarb are all amazing, pumpkin, coconut cream, pecan, key lime. So many great pies!

once the edges of the crust brown enough, you can put tin foil over them to prevent that burning. it fell apart because you added liquid
