If it’s a complicated topic/serious convo it gets overwhelming immediately via call—my brain just speach jams me and I can’t articulate/communicate what I’m trying to say effectively. I need to be hit up ahead of time so I can right down what I need to say in my notes app to help guide me through the discussion without forgetting important points. I’d say scheduling works best and then you have the phone call or ft. And as much patience as we can get because we’re trying and we’re frustrated with ourselves too, if that makes sense? Hope this is helpful!

Video call for sure and I always love it when my ADHD friends give me a heads up before they video call and like we don't even have to be presentable for each other, I just have to know that we're looking at each other, video call wins every time.

If its someone your dating/living look at it had a design problem, how can communication be built into the day. like a bulletin broad, shared calendar and maybe habit staking like always having a call with them when they leave the gym.

I don’t think I’ve actually dated someone with ADHD, but my bestie from work and she has it and we talk every day and we text very little but talk for hours. I’m actually the one that told her let’s talk over the phone.

I’m adhd and love texts… and if i need to hard focus, i put my phone on foxus mode…. My oldest son is also adhd…. Hard to communicate with him face to face but awesome communicating via text. I have learned that I only asked him one question at a time if I want the answer. If I ask him several questions in one text and then he will only answer the last question.
