kim tired of the "this doesn't move me" comments. you're entitled to feel that his music isn't your style, but you simply have to acknowledge the sheer talent and skill and inhuman perception of sound and harmony this man experiences. to me this song is playful, just like how jacob is playing around on the piano, which moves me to feel playful as well. I feel like everything he writes is utterly moving, and going to his concert last week was completely insane. He holds the room so well, I cried, and I laughed, and I danced. and the whole crowd danced and cheered, and felt all the joy and serenity jacob was also feeling. The audience choir was completely surreal. the entire concert was incredible and so beyond moving.

As a classically trained pianist, I would give my left kidney just to learn how to think of harmony like this. The crunchiest chord I encounter in my mostly church hymn repertoire is a diminished chord, or even a minor 7 flat 5 if I'm lucky. And of course my improvisation ability is just as limited to major and minor scales only😂😭
