yes and it's the opposite for bleach. keep your hair as oily as possible when you bleach, ideally have dirty hair but if not deep condition before bleaching

if for some reason you can't use clarifying shampoo then use your regular shampoo but for the love of god, dont use any products like conditioner. they are supposed to protect the hair, they're going to protect it from the colour too!

Yes, it's better to do that but do it the day before you dye it so your scalp has a little time to produce a little oil to protect your scalp before you dye.

As a hairstylist if you can please don’t come with dirty oily hair to any appointment. Because if you use product that aren’t regulated there may be a negative reaction from the bleach mixing with the ingredients of theoroduct

i will say, this is bc your hair follicles are opened! use warmer water as well to also open them, then once you dye it only rinse with cold water, no shampoo, and condition it! and the opposite for bleach!
