@bothsidespodcast: You can't build an $1M+ business doing school pick-ups. Sarah Hackett breaks down the hard truth for female entrepreneurs. If you want serious fees, you need serious support. Trying to do everything yourself destroys your marriage, your business, and your sanity. She's had the same nanny for 12 years who handles dinner, homework, and routines. The investment in help eliminates fights about who's cooking and creates space to actually build wealth. Are you investing in support or burning out trying to do it all?

In Asia, Africa, Latin America. Lots of women have house help. They brainwashed us in America to feel bad for having help. If you make even 150K/year, get help once a week to make life easier. Stop feeling guilty. You not super woman

I grew up like this. Nannies and boarding school. It has its pros and cons. It’s made me really value time with my parents in my adulthood and be a present mum for my kids but it’s not horrible not having your parents around all the time. You still make precious memories with others and when your parents are earning a good living, you have so much exposure and opportunities that elevate you and make you feel fulfilled. Every family functions differently and there really is no right or wrong.

The day I realised that the most important use for time with my family is having dinner with them and not necessarily preparing it, is the day I gained freedom. I have a Nanny and a twice a week Housekeeper who allow me to be present for my family instead of being exhausted and angry about chores. I have zero regrets.

For those shaming about a lack of quality time, I can assure you that the 1.5 hours I have to pick up kids, coordinate homework, police snacks, and get dinner on the table before bath and bed is not quality time. It’s the LEAST like quality time in our family routine. A calm and present parent who can enjoy a family dinner, bath and bed is far

Would you ladies be saying this if she were a man? I agree with this lady of outsourcing the tasks you don't need to go and to spend quality time with the kids

It’s the one thing I cherish, school pick ups, Saturday sports, afternoons with my children. Why outsource your motherhood?! 🤦🏽‍♀

A “present mum” doesn’t always mean being at home all the time. It’s the quality of that time spent. If she’s exhausted both with work AND housework/errands, how could women be expected to be great mothers? Women need help & should never be shamed for it!

This is absolutely important not just for your business/career but for your sanity as well. If you can afford the help get it! Use your money to buy you convenience. I’d rather spend an hour playing with my kid/happy activity than fight about brushing teeth/going to school in the morning.

As a SAHM with nanny/maid, she isn’t an option. Regardless if you work or not, you NEED her to help with technicalities such as doing laundry, iron, prepare lunch box, tidy up, staying with the children when out and about ect

I think you should clarify, for wealthy female listeners. This is such a niche take on life.

Yes! Nannies do a ton of the heavy house work and mundane kid tasks to you can split your time between your life and quality time with the kids. Our nanny is my angel, one of my favorite people.

I agree with outsourcing as a mum.. but to a degree. I love seeing my girls face when I pick her up from school and even dropping her off, I’m her safety and her comfort. There is no way in hell I would miss her sports are you kidding! I want to be present in her life.. however I would outsource by hiring a chef to cook our meals & make lunches, do food shopping and potentially a cleaner. I could not hire someone to take care of my kids while I’m busy working 😢 life is about family more then money

This is very normal in Zambia 🇿🇲, me and my husband don’t even have kids yet but we have a house help who does the cleaning and laundry. 80% of working mums in Zambia actually have live-in maids.
