I HATE the EGR-valve. The most time consuming fix I've had to do. I cleaned mine the first time and replaced it the second time, both equally frustrating. I'd rather have more emissions than having to go through this.

EGR is like breathing in your own farts,WHY????We dont have any laws here requiring it,so first thing we do on our cars is blank it off and write it out of the ECU

Not really accurate. It lowers oxide of nitrogen, by cooling combustion temp.
