To your point, I've never heard someone hate on a CAD career as most people don't even know what it is. Yep I wrap up around 4-4:30. Music is much needed. In office and some work from home yep. But $100k is a pipedream. Unless of course you live in a state with a crazy cost of living then you'll most likely see numbers around $60k for an experienced cad tech. I'm in it 7 years plus 2 in college and the highest I've earned was 70k and I'm good. Acad, Civil3d, Revit, ORD MicroStation are all in my toolbelt. Great career but unless you moonlight you won't see $100k.

We’re using Revit for working , navis/Revizto for 3d modeling some cad for control points but that’s about it. I need to learn more cad but my body is thanking me for leaving the field in office is nice

I started in CAD, moved to estimating then project management. CAD doesn't pay near 100k. You have to move up into different roles for the higher payscale.

Doing CAD 30 plus years. I work Monday-Thursday 6-3:30 and 6-10 am Friday. I can work from home if needed.

I was in the military doing some gis work cuz I worked geospatial and now I survey but I’d love to get in the office to do some CAD work but idk where to start without a degree
