for the same reason that 'quit whining and go to work' never succeeded as a self help book. people would rather get advice that asks nothing of them. thus the popular dating advice on tiktok is 'don't do squat' and so many people can't understand why they're alone

There is a small population of single men and women who post these tactics for dating that don’t really work because the people that are telling you to do this aren’t looking for the one, they’re just looking for anyone and so there communicating with multiple people at all times.
