As a NHS GP and aesthetic clinician I totally agree the strict regulations is they way to improve the quality and safe treatments, as at present lack of this is really concerning.

How did this segment go from ‘doctor bought an illegal product because he didn’t know it was illegal’ to ‘we need stricter regulation’ aka another non medical bashing hit piece

NOT SO POLISHED :
Why would anyone use human derived products, without knowing the background on purification and without the transfer of disease. Did we not learn from the HIV blood transfusion saga

The nhs only picks up the bad treatments from non medical practitioners, medical professionals deal with any issues in clinic as thats what we are trained to do or we have access to other health professionals that help. Therefore keeping the burden from the nhs.

A doctor not realising it’s illegal here … that rings alarm bells.

Rather have human than some odd engineered fish or plant stem cells as long as the source was ethical and consensual. Don’t understand the fuss to be honest, we accept organ transplant, blood transfusion, IVF and much more from strangers.

Please also investigate the number of UK doctors who are skin influencers who are promoting the use of prescription only medicines for skin, to members of the public which is prohibited in UK Law and MHRA. These have side effects which are very rarely mentioned and in any case it it illegal to promote the use of a Prescription only medicine to the public

Things feel really frustrating here in the UK. It’s hard to find good doctors, and even getting a proper face treatment seems impossible. I won’t even start on how difficult it’s been to find someone who can dye my hair well. Something seriously needs to change.

sorry, yes we do need regulations but this is a doctor, he would be regulated anyway…..the information about human DNA being illegal in the uk is very much out there, this is a lack of research on his part!!!!

For all the unregulated administration of cosmetic treatments in the UK, a tiny fraction goes wrong and small fraction again putting a burden on the NHS. At the same time, the majority of customers are happy and less doctors and nurses are diverted from medical care to cosmetic treatments, lessening the strain on NHS human resourcing. I dare say the sector has been a good case study against the UK’s tendency towards nanny statism whipped up by edge cases and tabloid sensationalism.

Umm …. Normally You cannot reveal that you signed an NDA unless the NDA explicitly allows you to or it has fully expired…… so he has either spoken about this too soon or it’s been going on years so it’s expired …

Is there even a biologically plausible mechanism that exosomes improve skin? Sounds a bit of a stretch.

E50 Exosomes contacted me 2022 and last year . They told me it’s human then this year they said they are plant based and I knew they were lying. You can actually make your own human exosomes from yourself with a machine. Uk has plant based or synthetic exosomes which in my opinion aren’t really exosomes and shouldn’t be catogorised as exosomes hence why they have weird names that sounds like exosomes .i use ASCE. Rose exosomes but they too are Korean , super expensive and the manufacturer also sell human exosomes.

if that doctor bought that product it is because he is using illegal pharmacies. otherwise, he wouldn't be able to buy it!
