@tananeedshelp: the fact that i love my life and resent it at the same is definitely one of those things that puts into perspective how two things can be true at once. although i try to keep my mind positive, i find it important to acknowledge the darker parts otherwise id probably crash out #lgmd #lgmd2b #disabilityawareness #mda
I’ve watched this video 4 times now. I’m crying how accurate and relatable it is. Thank you.

I hate explaining it to new partners, new jobs, new friends. All my siblings got scholarships to college for athletics. Literally don’t want to have kids bc I don’t want them to go thru what I did. Yeah sure I can do most everything but I always have to find a way to adapt or I can’t do it as well as other people. I’m tired of having to work harder for something that comes so easy to other people

It makes me have a villian complex, ngl after obtaining my own business and doing it full time I used to use it to belittle others that are able bodied sometimes I thought like hmm how are you not able to do this.. I can and I have a disability so I feel you

I feel resentment daily. Especially towards my parents. It took me getting older (35) to get an answer bc everyone ignored it and I still don’t really have an answer. Drs say “Myopathy” but it’s still a question mark.

it’s important and valid to have both feelings and for them to be able to coexist, and ebb and flow with each other as we face different situations I think

YES, THIS! I have a rare genetic connective tissue disorder on top of a rare muscle disease (that doctors still can't pinpoint unfortunately) and I feel this so deeply. This was so validating. Sending you so much love! 🫶🏻

Very well said. It’s something that has to be surpressed daily and I also am starting to resent the MDA for not acknowledging this. I hate what I said and they used for the strong campaign. I’m tired of playing nice. ❤💚

FSHD here and i relate to this so much. Sometimes i feel so guilty for my resentment and my "negative" outlook on the world. I feel like i get my biggest feelings of resentment when i watch able bodied people take for granted the lives they are able to live. I've found its become very hard for me to feel empathy for people complaining about small things or acting helpless in situations they can easily fix on their own when i crave to have their level of independence and quality of life.
