@kelliesbrocchi: What once felt like an ending turned out to be the beginning of purpose 🥹❤️ most unbelievable full circle moment of my life!! Reporting to this ship at 21, in the middle of Guam, I was absolutely terrified. I had no idea who I was yet, much less how to be an officer. No confidence, no close friends, no idea what I was doing, just trying to figure out adulthood & leadership at the same time. Everything changed when I was assigned to 1st div & met my sailors & my BMC. Even though I still had no clue what I was doing, they gave me grace to grow. My BMs taught me what it means to be part of a team, & my Chief showed me I didn’t need to know everything, I just needed to care. So I did. Leaving the ship for limited duty & not knowing if I’d ever lead again was the hardest chapter of my life. But by the grace of God, it wasn’t the end. Nearly 10.5 years later, I returned to the same ship to help @usnavy celebrate the Navy’s 250th birthday, a full circle moment I’ll never forget. That terrified Ensign has grown into a more confident, grounded, & grateful leader. Failures don’t define us, they refine us. #navy250 #navyjourney #womeninuniform #navylife
