yes Jesus was perfect, However I don't really think human beings did a perfect job of quoting what he said! that being said what we have in the Bible is the best advice we have for living a good life.

Ex-conservative, now more liberal Christian: the Spirit of Christ is perfect and his life was exemplary. He is the lens through which all scripture should be viewed because there are problems with scripture itself.

Yes. But Jesus used metaphor and simile as teaching tools, and those are interpreted different ways by different people. Christians themselves don’t agree on what teachings of Christ are important or what they all mean. We do the best we can, but we don’t all agree. Political divisions have made that worse.

Jesus taught Christ Consciousness and that we are all Divine within. Constantine changed the Bible on the 5th Century and then King James in the 13th ( I believe) King James used it as a way to rule the ppl

Conservative Christian and yes Jesus’ teachings and what he said was perfect. What is not perfect is the interpretation. People take parts out of context and it is easy to misrepresent parables.

Christian conservative- yes, I believe his teachings and life were/are perfect. I also think we need to be cautious that our faith/ Scripture informs our personal politics, and don’t get it twisted to where our politics inform our faith. Too many people make their politics or political leaders an idol. Jesus also taught free will, so I don’t believe we can legislate people into following Jesus, it needs to be a personal choice.

Yes, Jesus’ teachings were perfect. But I think people misconstrue his message by not understanding where and why Jesus said the things he did. Historical context matters. I also believe in separation of church and state. 💙

Yes, as far as it is translated correctly. There was much that was changed over the centuries, added and removed. But I believe that Jesus Christ's message and teachings are perfect and best understood with the holy spirit. Love God and Love your neighbor!

liberal ex-Christian, if you limit it to the teachings of Jesus and don't include anything from OT or Paul, then it's pretty good and matches very well with the non-dualist viewpoint.

So I am a Christian. Jesus yes. But, I believe the Bible is used to control, and that is not its intention. Funny how we can not look at people knowledge.. the level when the Bible first came along and our level of intelligence now.

I don’t believe we can answer that question because there is no way for us to know what his actual teachings were. What we have is a complilation of stories told by others that has been translated and interpreted through many iterations over time. It’s like a game of telephone but across the ages.

Non-practicing coptic orthodox and agnostic. Yes, his teachings were perfect. Empathy, humility and kindness. And not selective or contingent on when and where you live. If you can’t see yourself in another, you missed the point.

Absolutely. Things get taken out of context, and possibly mistranslated, I think it’s important unfortunately in this day and age to dig deep into Hebrew and Greek meanings, and culture in order not to take things wrong. When you have a relationship with the Holy Spirit it helps guide you to the truth but Jesus teachings were perfect.

Yes. Jesus’s teaching are perfect. When you view the whole Bible through His lens you see that God the Father is all good and perfect. The Bible represents the Father’s, the Son’s and the Holy Spirit’s truth which is all good. We’re all flawed and need their goodness and love to give us grace and lead us in our daily lives.

Yes Jesus was perfect, while the people who wrote the Bible are imperfect Jesus had a message and I do not believe he would allow man to manipulate his words. I also believe that his words hit everyone differently and are open to different interpretation by design. I can read a verse out of the Bible and it can mean something entirely different to someone else it's all very personal for each person who reads it.

Christian conservative: Yes, if he was not perfect then he would not have fulfilled the prophecy that were required of the Messiah. I also believe that many misunderstand what scripture actually says and some intentionally mis use the Word to achieve their own goals.
