i think a lot of ppl unfortunately don’t remember politics prior to like 2022. during the 2015 primaries there were constantly headlines about how trump is going to permanently fracture the republican party. now look where we are

people don't understand that the conservative base has been trying to send the craziest people since the '90s and pretty much the RNC has been swatting them away. like seriously do people not remember Herman Cain? it was only a matter of Time. furthermore, regardless of ideology not a single Republican believes in climate change effectively making them a pro genocide party on top of being the flagrantly pro-capitalist party

People are just happy that some Republicans are finally seeing how crazy some of the stuff is. Nobody wants a civil war. People just want there to be a fracture and make it OK for Republicans to recognize crazy again.
