Thank you I needed to hear this! Day 8, one is gf and the other is just Italian flour. Actually my gf one seems happier. The regular one smells like nail polish remover which ive been told means its super hungry with the ph being acidic. Finger 🤞🏻

This video reached me at exactly the right moment. Thank you so much. I prepared my liquid sourdough starter last week. After three days of steady growth with feedings every 24 hours, I switched to 12-hour feedings (as the recipe I was following required). Now it seems like nothing is happening — just a few small bubbles on the surface. Fingers crossed… I’d really love to make some panettoni

Help me…. I’m on week 3, I just switched to 50/50 rye and unbleached bread flour(king Arthur’s). I’ve done all these things and it smells like play dough, sometimes a little sweet. Doing NOTHING. Small bubbles. I’m about to quit this far along.
