The divisiveness in the diaspora continues to be so dangerous and annoying. I’m not cosplaying a damn thing! I’m being myself! We are a globalized people America was the first major melting pot and with the digital age etc that melting pot spread globally. I remember moving to the states and the first thing I was told by my peers growing up was ‘you’re not black you’re Jamaican’ and that came from all sides black and white Americans etc. I honestly feel like a lot of people just refuse to understand. The devisiveness needs to stop…colonization really messed people up on a molecular level…

There is a difference between the general American culture and the culture of a specific ethnic group. You don’t just become Black American ethnically just cause you were born here. It’s still appropriation/cosplaying. I don’t see y’all taking on Chinese American culture or Amish culture or White Cowboy culture…
