Very similar to the Palestinian or Jordanian style mujaddara. but we cook the rice and lentils together, and the only spice we add is cumin. No garlic or parsley either, just lots and lots of onion. So delicious! We have it with a side salad (we call it farmer's salad), or yogurt. ❤

Delicious. I just made it. It’s a tad too dry. And yes I say use honey. I made the rice and the lentils. Didn’t use canned. I out my onions on a high flame and caramelized quickly. I would cook slower for onion soup. Took no time to make. Amazing
