@mind.blowing.fact19: In this video, we witness one of the most incredible microscopic battles happening inside our bodies every single day. White blood cells — our immune system’s elite defenders — track down and destroy invading bacteria through a process called phagocytosis, which literally means “cell eating.” Here’s how it happens: 1. The immune cells detect chemical signals released by bacteria or damaged tissues, drawing them toward the infection site — a phenomenon known as chemotaxis. 2. Once they reach the enemy, they latch onto the bacterial surface, often using antibodies or other molecules that “mark” the target for destruction. 3. The white blood cell’s membrane then extends around the bacterium, engulfing it into a tiny bubble called a phagosome. 4. This bubble fuses with another structure inside the cell called a lysosome, which is packed with powerful enzymes and reactive oxygen molecules. Together, they break the bacterium down completely. 5. Finally, the remains are either expelled or used to alert other parts of the immune system, helping the body recognize and prepare for future attacks. What you’re seeing in the footage is a real microscopic war — an elegant yet ruthless dance of survival, happening millions of times inside us every day. It’s the reason we can fight infections long before we even realize they’re there. This process is part of the innate immune system, our body’s first and fastest line of defense. Watching it in action reminds us just how sophisticated nature’s design truly is. #Science #body #biology #creatorsearchinsight #satisfy

poi ci sono globuli bianchi ciechi che vedono batteri inesistenti infiammando così i tessuti senza motivo, le malattie autoimmuni 😔
