Paramedic here, we absolutely do not assist patients getting to hospital appointments. That is a whole other ambulance team that does not have blue lights. Have never had blue lights and will never have blue lights getting patients to hospital in any other situation except emergency

I work in the control room for 999 emergency calls, plus we do drs admissions for emergencies. This is a pre planned trip, she would at best have to book patient transport. Never in a million years would she have an emergency ambulance to take her to an appointment, this is just not a thing. The service is so stretched, struggling to get to actual emergency calls and she thinks they’ll take a crew/ambulance off the road for this! What actually goes through that pea brain of hers!!
