As a florist, I never expect any food or drink! I provide my own for myself and my team. As lovely as it is for couples to provide food/snacks for their suppliers, the list could get very long and add to budget pressure for couples! I would never feel jaded, but definitely feel it’s important for photographers & videographers to be fed throughout the day 🫶🏻

We definately recommend giving your vendors a gift bag with goodies to nibble on especially the ones that will be there all day like your photographer an videographer. As a planner/coordinator, I always set up a gift bag to give to the vendors, n9t only is ot considerate but they are also very grateful.

And if you are feeding vendors tell them. I arrived at a wedding and saw my name on THE SEATING PLAN. It was not a mistake. Proper vendor table that I never knew about. Dont expect this at all but venue were happy to feed us during the ceremony. Each vendor works harder at different stages of the day

Love a supplier green room! And I tell you what I love the most - being told it’s ok to have a few canapés!! I know lots of photographers just take canapés but I am too polite and will only have them if I’ve been explicitly told it’s ok or I’m offered them directly :)

MUA/hairdresser up early, up to them if they get breakfasts before they attend. Photo/videographer kindness for a meal as they are there ALL day and can’t always heat meals etc. other vendors not necessary.

I never expect anything at all but snack bags are more and more frequent now and very welcome, but you definitely don’t have to do it for vendors especially the ones (like me ) that are not there all day.

It’s a nice thought, but the world of allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences is hard to navigate. I’ve been working weddings for 14 years and even *professional caterers* who are meant to know these things persistently mess up. I wouldn’t expect a couple to navigate that when it comes to things like snack bags as snacks are very easy to provide yourself. They don’t rely on having access to heating/cooling facilities and so on in the same way a meal does. For me, a meal is *plenty*

We had a big breakfast platter in the morning, enough for the hairdresser and makeup artist. We had supplier dinners for our photographer, videographer and band. We set up a tab at the bar for them to be able to get any drinks they wanted! It worked well 😊
