Someone should remind him Anglo Saxons (the English) aren’t native to Britain - the Welsh, Scots, Irish, and Celts in Cornwall are!!

There were 35 languages spoken in my primary school year - this was a bragging point! It was great. I miss it

You’ve nailed it. This world was taken from everyone by the racists, not by people of different cultures.

Well, the top 1% didn’t like that the bottom 99% were getting so chummy and so ignited the endless culture wars to keep us fighting each other and not looking at the real problem, the 1%.

We are seeing the effects of manipulation and propaganda in real time. Looking back, Tom Birchy grew up in Singapore and was proud of it being multicultural. The cognitive dissonance is breathtaking really.

It’s ironic and sad how the internet, which was supposed to connect us all, has been used to create this mass divide and spread so much hateful rhetoric…

I agree completely. I will 💀 on the hill that social media is the problem. I grew up before it existed or was popular, and while racism existed the huge majority of us just lived together without issues and never questioned other peoples skin colour or religion

So I work in Leicester…it’s still the same, hugely multicultural and honestly I love how accepting people are (not all but most) …the hateful rhetoric that is being spread at the minute isn’t working here, it’s really refreshing to see tbh.

I agree. Growing up in England and Wales, there was celebrations of different cultures and diversity. Hatred is learned though.

billionaires want us to fight a culture war instead of a class war. and unfortunately a lot of people fall for it.

nuance dude. white ppl didnt act as hateful towards immigrants because they were still financially able to get ahead. they also outnumbered immigrants at high rates. now they feel like they see " too many brown and blk ppl and they cant make ends meet". they never accepted immigrants in the first place, they just thought it was an insignificant issue until they felt it actually affected them

i grew up in Luton and LOVED the multiculturalism. i was in a bollywood dance club, we learned about Eid and visited Mosques and Sikh temples and Synagogues. my friends did henna on me, and decorated for christmas with us. it’s sad to see what this country has become

The fact that their main point is that “this is our country” is so ironic when the brits has clearly never cared about that for other countries
