@madisoncustis: All aboard the Virginia Scenic Railway! 🛤️ We picked the Dining Class experience and got to choose our meal and dessert ahead of time when purchasing our tickets for the date we wanted. 🍰 Originally, we booked the Alleghany Special route (which takes you through the Shenandoah Valley toward the national forests 🌄), but a few days before, we got an email saying that line needed immediate maintenance. The staff offered us the alternate route, and it ended up being such a beautiful ride! 💙 It’s about a 3 hour round trip, but it absolutely flew by. Between the rolling hills, small towns, and colors, the views were beautiful. The meal service was great, the staff was kind, and the whole experience felt like stepping back in time. 🕰️ They have different price ranges depending on the class you choose along with various route options depending on the time of year/season, but if you’re looking for something unique and relaxing to do in Virginia, this is a 10/10 recommendation.
